The Redford Library Mural Project continues to move right along. Last Saturday we had 13 students working on a variety of things. Some worked on a 3-piece composition of Mural #1. Working with the grid system, this group of students first sketched the mural design onto panels and then commenced with the painting of it.
Another group of students began working on the composition of images for Mural #2. And those who were absent from the previous class were given the opportunity to color their versions of Mural #1 that the rest of us completed last week.
A fourth group of students was given the task of developing a color scheme that can be used to unify certain features of both murals. An important task, indeed!
We were fortunate enough to meet again with Doctor Conja Wright of the Redford Library. She expressed her appreciation of the visual composition and the various meanings that lie within the mural's imagery. She encouraged all of the students to remain focused on the project, so that our collective goals can be achieved.
This is such a great project, and we're working incredibly hard on it!
