Over at the Redford Branch of the DPL, installation of the mural has begun! We've got our canvas stretched, and spent the day applying gesso. Gesso is used to smooth the surface of the canvas and provides a white base for the paint, to assure that colors are both vibrant and accurate. It's a lot of work, but an essential step in our process!
